Biogas Production Project
The project was to promote production of biogas using coffee pulp and other bio waste as an adaptation strategy on climate change effects on coffee production and productivity.
Project outcome
- 20 demonstration units of biogas were established
- 20 field days were organized to train farmers on use of biogas as an adaptation strategy to the effects of climate change and other aspects of good agricultural practices
- An average of 5,940 farmers were trained on biogas production and other aspects of coffee agronomy.
- 43 farmers were taken for an exchange visit to Meru and Kiambu
