- Solidarity with Coffee farmers: These values ensure that the association stands with the farmers in concerns and issues that they need addressed to enhance the performance of their sector.
- Courage of conviction: The association at all times, will courageously and without fear or favour, fight for the rights of its members and challenge policies that are detrimental to the development of the coffee sector.
- Transparency and Accountability: In all undertakings the association will endeavour to act in a way that does not put the sector or its activities into dispute. The association will be accountable to its members at all times and will be open to suggestions and constructive criticism.
- Ethical business practices and Integrity: The association will engage in ethical and legal business practices and endeavour to promote the same.
- Team work, Equality and Diversity of Ideas: All members of the association and other stakeholders have equal opportunity to participate in the affairs of the association. Participate in the affairs of the association will enable it achieve its goal as the coffee farmers’ true voice.
- Environmental conservation: The association is concerned about the degradation of the environment and takes seriously any activities that aim at conserving and improving what there is already. This principle will guide the association to source for means and ways of enhancing the local environments through environmentally – friendly practices. It will seek to partner with other like-minded actors to conserve and improve the environment within all the coffee growing areas.
- Gender Equity: The association, in executing its activities will at all the times ensure that equal gender participation and representation is observed. KCPA will at the times work to entrench gender equity in the entire coffee value chain.
